This Intern position will work with the System Development Integration Group (SDIG).  You will be working with test plans, test cases and automated test scripts.
 
Basic Qualifications:
  • Ideal candidate will be pursuing a Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
  • Candidate must understand why and where testing fits in product development life cycle
  • Work independently with minimal supervision
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Creating, maintaining, test plans, test cases, and automation test scripts
  • Develop automation test scripts to test front and back end components
  • Systematically and rigorously test HPro’s System Architect software application in the areas of functionality, end-to-end System Testing, load and performance testing using simulators and live devices
  • Regression and integration testing on test build, delivered by development, when software is under test
  • Participate with QA Team members in defining and managing quality assurance processes
  • Report, track, maintain, and re-test defects associated with build/release using bug tracking software (bugzilla)
  • Work with developers to resolve defects identified
  • Contributes and adheres to the requirement traceability matrix to ensure a quality product to our end users
  • Communicate and isolate complex problems quickly and efficiently
  • Learn new technology, third party software, product, tools etc to support testing activities
Eligibility Requirements:
  • Willingness to work in an office Sandy, UT
  • Willingness to work 20 hours per week (minimum) all year long
  • Willingness to submit to a background screen and a drug test

Job Summary: The primary responsibility of the IS Software Developer is to develop and deliver complex web applications for internal and external use, utilizing innovative and creative approaches to software development and implementation. This position requires well-rounded knowledge and experience in IT/Software Development and strong knowledge of one or more technologies such as .NET, SQL, and Agile/Scrum development.

Essential Responsibilities:
• Design, develop and troubleshoot high performance and high availability applications to meet Scentsy’s strategic objectives.
• Participate as part of a projects team to design, code, and test extensible, reusable, and scalable server/client and web service applications.
• Collaborate with other Software Developers, Quality Assurance, and Business Analysts on Development Projects.
• Utilize software development skills to design, code, and implement unit tests, integration tests, and regression tests.
• Participate in design and code reviews, following coding, documentation and design standards.
• Perform and deliver in a fast paced software development lifecycle with a strong dedication to a solid user experience.
• Perform regular on-call duties.
• Adhere to all established procedures, policies and safety rules as outlined by the Company.
• Perform all other assigned tasks and requirements as needed.

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
• Excellent understanding of commonly used programming languages, OOP, design patterns, data structures
• Knowledge of .NET framework 3.5/4.0, C#, ASP.NET, MVC, SQL Server 2005/2008, HTML/CSS, XML, JSON, jQuery.
• Experience in writing stored procedures and queries in SQL Server.
• Experience in 3-tiered applications and/or SOA design and development is highly desired.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical personnel.
• Understanding of the Agile/Scrum project management process is helpful.
• Ability to perform multiple tasks.
Must have working knowledge of computers and all applicable software.
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.

Develops and maintains building and testing environments, creates tools and processes to improve and automate the build workflow, as well as provides QA estimates, designs, creation and execution of test strategies. Database Architect

integrity of company DBs. Requires knowledge, skill, experience, and judgment when using, maintaining, and or creating MS SQL databases, as well as the ability to migrate, import, export, backup, and restore across a variety of environments.

Co-Op with L3 Communications

L-3 is seeking engineering students to fill Co-Op positions. Candidates will be assigned to an engineering group to assist with technical tasks associated with Department of Defense (DoD) programs. The Engineering Co-Op position provides an opportunity for engineering students who are currently pursuing a degree in electrical, computer engineering, or computer science to get hands-on experience working with engineers creating cutting edge communication systems. The Co-Op will be called upon to support a variety of hardware and software engineering activities in a fast paced engineering environment. In this role you may be assigned to a variety of engineering tasks throughout the Engineering department. 

The Co-op will be assigned to support one of many engineering teams and will receive a variety of tasks in support of the team. Each intern will have a mentor to assist in completing tasks and answering questions. Tasks will be tailored to the intern experience level, interests, and capabilities.
The Co-op is required to work a minimum of 20 hours a week and be enrolled as a full-time student, taking 12 credit hours and must have at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA. 

Due to the nature of our work this position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense security clearance.

Qualifications
This position requires the successful candidate to be a Sophomore/Junior/Senior level student currently enrolled in classes leading to a degree in an applicable engineering or computer science discipline. 

Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Computer Science students are desired and must be currently enrolled in their respective programs.

This job is designed to provide students with unpaid professional experience to further their education and training and is academically oriented for the student’s benefit.  To qualify students must be enrolled in an accredited school program related to the type of work they are expected to perform.  Positions are voluntary and will terminate upon completion of the internship period.  Incumbents may deal with confidential information, which is expected to be maintained as confidential and shared only on a need-to-know basis with city employees and elsewhere when authorized by the intern’s City supervisor.

The focus of this internship is to write one or two mobile applications for citizens or employees of Salt Lake City. This posting is for two non-paid intern positions to write mobile applications. The ideal candidates will have training and some experience in writing mobile applications for smart phones, tablet devices, and/or other mobile endpoint devices, and is currently enrolled in the computer science field at the University.  Experience with Microsoft ASP.Net MVC4, HTML5, and J-Query Mobile is advantageous. The hours can be worked around school schedules. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

·       Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university, though summer internships may not require concurrent enrollment if student is in good standing with the educational institution.
·       Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
·       Must have good organizational and analytical skills.
·       Must have good computer skills.
