Position Summary:

LANDesk Software is seeking a Software Developer in Test Intern who will be required to design, create, automate, execute, and maintain tests on a complex suite of software based on a client-server architecture. The software is a suite of tools that provides remote desktop and server configuration management, inventory data, policy enforcement and security analysis.


RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

This person will be responsible for designing, creating, automating, and executing tests for a client-server management application on multiple platforms, including Windows and Linux. The Software Developer in Test will have knowledge of operating systems and networking principles and the must be skillful in troubleshooting these environments. This person must have the ability to plan work and meet deadlines and will use judgment in data analysis to develop and drive solutions for complex processes.


QUALIFICATIONS:

Required/Preferred Experience:
•Current student majoring in Computer Science, prefer a 2012/2013 graduation date
•Scripting experience with C# or Ruby is preferred
•Object Oriented Analysis and Design and programming experience a plus
•Experience with defect tracking systems and imaging software
•Familiarity with LANDesk products a plus
•Industry certifications are a plus
•Experience with Agile Development Process a plus

Embedded and GUI Applications for Unmanned Aircraft and Ground Vehicle Command and Control

Grey Point Corp is seeking an upper level undergraduate or graduate student programmer for full-time summer employment. The successful candidate will possess skills in developing Applications for Linux OS and in embedded level (C/C++, Ada, etc.) functional code block development. C/C++ skillsets are necessary for this work. Ada Programming Language may be utilized during the development effort, although prior experience with this language is not necessary. Work will entail algorithm development for unmanned vehicles and communications/command/control application software development. Development cycle will place emphasis on proof of concept low level control systems of unmanned vehicle actuators, sensor fusion algorithms, and low level hardware control and communications and verification through interface with commercial aircraft simulation software. 
Work projects will utilize Gumstix COM hardware, other Gumstix hardware peripherals and include utilizing existing commercial software APIs and SDKs. The candidate will develop well commented code and corresponding functional block tests for use ranging from board level firmware to user GUI applications. Supporting system requirement specification documentation will be created alongside developed functionality. Candidates considered will include Junior/Senior and Graduate student Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering students. This work will be project based and goal oriented. The work if conducted during the course semesters would be part-time and may be full-time during the summer months.

The Utah Rivers Council is seeking an intern for the Summer 2012 Semester to act as a sWet (Student Water Education Team) Leader. Project sWet is a campus-wide, multi-departmental effort to institute permanent water conservation at the U of U through a mixture of education, technology and policy change. 
We are interested in enlisting student help from the School of Computing to successfully create a Utah specific water footprint calculator (a web-based application that helps people understand their water usage through an online survey). The skills required for this internship include:

Intern Information Systems Job Summary


We are looking for 3 Information Systems Interns this year.

As a Software Engineer Intern for Reporting Systems at IM Flash Technologies, you will join a team of highly skilled Software Professionals in creating reports that the electrical engineers and production engineers will rely on to make improvements to the products that IM Flash manufactures. You will play a key role in taking requirements and developing them into usable reports using SQL within a proprietary development tool or using Microsoft Reporting Services. You will gain experiences with communication, SQL languages, and general business practices. 


Qualifications
Qualified candidates will be currently participating in information systems courses. Candidate must be quick to learn and have an understanding of software and a good understanding of SQL languages as well as database concepts. Candidates must also show good communication skills and be able to manage ones time efficiently and effectively.

1st Intern requirements: we need 2 Interns with these skills:

Interns must be pursuing a degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering. Interns will be considered that have taken classes and possess a good understanding of one or more of the following: Database Design, SQL, C#, Perl, and Software Development Life Cycles.


2nd Intern Requirements we need 1 Intern that has these skills:
C#, Perl, SQL, database, all stages of the SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle)

Infrastructure Engineer and Systems Professional
