IT / Systems Administrator
Part-Time Position
Hourly Wage of $10-$12 DOE

Part time position supporting a private school’s IT infrastructure. Will work with the IT manager and receive on-the-job training. Great position for student looking to sharpen their IT skills and apply them to a real world environment.

Installs new software releases and system upgrades, evaluates and installs patches, and resolves software related problems. Performs system backups and recovery. Maintains data files and monitors system configuration to ensure data integrity and user access. Respond to IT requests made through the ticketing system. Update knowledge base with answers to commonly asked questions. Experience in this field or in these related technologies beneficial: Mac OS Server, Microsoft Office 2011 for Mac, Android OS, CAT5 Networking, VoIP, PBX Phone Systems, 802.11b/g/n Wireless Networking, Google Apps for Your Domain Name, CPANEL, Joomla, Windows XP/7, Online Backup, Surveillance Systems.  Will rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Will report to the IT manager.

Software Programmer and Research Scientist

Description:
We are looking for a motivated and energetic individual with excellent Java
programming knowledge and experience to join our dynamic new company as a Software
Programmer and Research Scientist. 

Duties:
Participation in the conception of a Natural Language Processing (NLP) prototype,
management of the automatic de-identification and annotation of clinical narratives,
and management of the training, implementation, and evaluation of the prototype.
Collaboration with the department of Biomedical Informatics and the Scientific
Computing and Imaging Institute (SCI) at the University of Utah.

Qualifications:
BS in Computer Science or related field, with demonstrated Java programming training
and experience, and statistical analysis and statistical software experience. NLP and
machine learning knowledge and experience preferred. Must be able to work
independently as well as in a team setting.

TheraDoc’s suite of software applications brings together disparate data from a hospital’s source systems, helps alert clinicians to potential risks, and empowers them with knowledge to improve clinical outcomes, lower costs, and strengthen regulatory compliance.
We are looking for an entry level Database Developer to join our Data Integration team.  The Database Interface Engineer assists in the development of interface code to integrate customer applications and data with medical expert systems.   This position requires proficiency in database coding and data analysis.   The candidate should possess the ability to analyze and follow technical requirements as well as possess a strong ability to communicate and work with both the team and customer.

Duties and Responsibilities:       
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
•Perform data analysis on hospital HL7 and non-HL7 data interfaces.
•Assist with the development and testing of Oracle PL/SQL code to parse and manipulate incoming data.
•Troubleshoot interface and database issues
•Work closely with implementation team and customer support.
•Communicate progress and issues with other team members, customers and departments. 

Qualifications

Candidate must have: 
•Proficiency with SQL (DDL and DML) is required
•Experience with one or more database programming languages (Oracle PL/SQL preferred).
•Ability to create, analyze and follow requirements
•Detail oriented and able to follow technical instruction
•Strong troubleshooting skills
•Ability to evaluate new tools and technologies
•BS in Computer Science or other technical field required

Preferred but not required:

•Experience with medical applications and terminology
•Experience with healthcare information systems or enterprise business systems
•Knowledge of HL7 interface protocol
•Some Oracle DBA skills

Web Development Internship



 Fall Semester Web Development Internship 
Looking for an internship to build your portfolio and your resume? Do you want to put your development skills into action and gain real-world experience? Do you want to be a part of a dynamic team that comes together to build a prestigious brand and help people in need? Then this may be the internship you’ve been searching for. We are a law firm looking for a hard working web development intern to do just that. 
Requirements: 
Web Development or Computer Science student, or related field 
 Portfolio of work (code snippets, URLs of web development projects and descriptions of what portions you contributed) 
 Proficiency in CSS, HTML, and PHP 
 Excellent communication skills 
 Creativity/Team player/Self-starter 

Preferred but not required: 
Experience developing for WordPress (themes, plugins, etc.) 
 Basic understanding of SEO concepts 
 JavaScript (including jQuery/AJAX) 
 HTML5 and CSS3, including responsive design 
 Graphics experience including layout (an eye for detail) 

Duties: 
Strengthen branding by applying development best practices using W3C standards (W3C Candidate Recommendation standard for HTML5/CSS3) 
 Participate in brainstorming meetings for website development and related areas such as SEO 
 Generate original PHP code and CSS 
 Assist in the development of new websites for the firm using the WordPress platform 
 Code elements of emails for email marketing campaigns 
 Assist in other marketing duties as assigned 
 2 days per week in office (16 hours) in Draper, Utah 

The candidate who fills this position will be involved in a major website redesign project using the latest web technologies, as well as smaller in-house development projects such as creating email marketing templates, lead-generation websites, etc.

This internship is not to learn how to code, but rather to gain experience working in a real work environment on real projects with a team of designers, developers, and managers. It is preferred that interns provide their own laptop with their preferred development environment (Linux, Mac, or Windows). Interns will connect to our servers via SFTP through a proper FTP client (such as FileZilla).

NOTE: This internship is $12/hour, paid monthly. The firm is also willing to pay up to $800 for tuition costs associated with the internship should you choose to do the internship for university credits (receipt provided). These costs will be reimbursed according to the schedule above. 
The start and end dates are flexible as well, but the internship will last approximately 4 months. Supervision is provided by a contracted web developer (PHP/CSS) and our in-house web development project manager (WordPress, SEO, basic development).
