Fall Semester Web Development Internship

We are a law firm looking for a hard working web development intern to do just that.
Requirements:
Web Development or Computer Science student, or related field
Portfolio of work (code snippets, URLs of web development projects and descriptions of what portions you contributed)
Proficiency in CSS, HTML, and PHP
Excellent communication skills
Creativity/Team player/Self-starter
Preferred but not required:
Experience developing for WordPress (themes, plugins, etc.)
Basic understanding of SEO concepts
JavaScript (including jQuery/AJAX)
HTML5 and CSS3, including responsive design
Graphics experience including layout (an eye for detail)
Duties:
Strengthen branding by applying development best practices using W3C standards (W3C Candidate Recommendation standard for HTML5/CSS3)
Participate in brainstorming meetings for website development and related areas such as SEO
Generate original PHP code and CSS
Assist in the development of new websites for the firm using the WordPress platform
Code elements of emails for email marketing campaigns
Assist in other marketing duties as assigned
2 days per week in office (16 hours) in Draper, Utah
The candidate who fills this position will be involved in a major website redesign project using the latest web technologies, as well as smaller in-house development projects such as creating email marketing templates, lead-generation websites, etc.

This internship is not to learn how to code, but rather to gain experience working in a real work environment on real projects with a team of designers, developers, and managers. It is preferred that interns provide their own laptop with their preferred development environment (Linux, Mac, or Windows). Interns will connect to our servers via SFTP through a proper FTP client (such as FileZilla).

Interview Process:
After screening résumés, we will call selected candidates for an in-person interview
In-person interview held at our offices in Draper, Utah
Conditional offer based upon a 1 hour skills proficiency test project in-house at our office
NOTE: This internship is $12/hour, paid monthly. The firm is also willing to pay up to $800 for tuition costs associated with the internship should you choose to do the internship for university credits (receipt provided). These costs will be reimbursed according to the schedule above.
The start and end dates are flexible as well, but the internship will last approximately 4 months. Supervision is provided by a contracted web developer (PHP/CSS) and our in-house web development project manager (WordPress, SEO, basic development).
