Scentsy Information Systems (I.S.) Department:
The I.S. department is a pivotal group involved with all aspects of the Scentsy business, working cross-functionally with a variety of departments. The I.S. group utilizes the latest Microsoft .NET tools as well as other cutting-edge web technologies such as .NET framework 3.5/4.0, C#, ASP.NET, MVC, SQL Server 2005/2008, HTML/CSS, XML, JSON, jQuery to deliver Scentsy software solutions for a variety of internal and external web applications.

These applications include consultant software that allows them to operate their independent business, replicated external-facing websites to allow consultants maintain an e-commerce presence, back office applications to facilitate inventory, content, translations, and customer support management, end-to-end supply chain and product fulfillment software, and finally, Scentsy corporate and promotional sites.

Open Positions:
Software Developer
Develop and deliver complex web applications for internal and external use, utilizing innovative and creative approaches to software development and implementation. Requires well-rounded knowledge of IT/Software
Development including .NET framework 3.5/4.0, C#, ASP.NET, MVC, SQL Server 2005/2008, HTML/CSS, XML, JSON, jQuery, OOP, design patterns, data structures, and familiarity in writing stored procedures and queries in SQL Server.

Database Developer
Develop DB systems that provide effective and efficient access of information to meet Scentsy’s business needs. Requires well-rounded knowledge and experience of SQL Server 2005/2008, SQL Server Stored Procedures, Views, Functions, Triggers, and Joins, creating / consuming web services, Microsoft SQL Reporting Services, IIS 6.0/7.0, as well as familiarity in performance tuning, backups/restores, indexing, replication and clustering, and writing stored procedures.

QA Software Developer
Creates, executes, and maintains test strategies, test plans, test procedures, test scenarios, test cases, test data sets, and test scripts to be used in software testing for manual and automated testing. Works with project teams to identify, triage and isolate defects and issues in all environments. Requires understanding of Object Oriented Analysis and Design, UML, web architecture, algorithms, data structures, design patterns, as well as strong experience with Microsoft technologies including .Net Framework 3.5/4.0, ASP.NET, C#, MVC, SQL Server, XML, JSON, JQuery.

QA Software Support Technician
Interacts with developers and analysts to troubleshooting issues, provide report resolution, generating and publishing test procedures, issue tracking, generating test metrics, executing both manual and automated testing, and writing final reports on testing activities.

QA Build Engineer
Develops and maintains building and testing environments, creates tools and processes to improve and automate the build workflow, as well as provides QA estimates, designs, creation and execution of test strategies. Requires experience in developing automated build environments based on .NET technologies and
knowledge of SVN, MSBuild / MSTest, TFS, TeamCity and/or Cruise Control, Powershell, IIS and web app deployment, VMWare, Visual Studio Test Automation Toolset.

Database Architect
Provide senior technical leadership as well as accountability for defining, maintaining, communicating, implementing, and executing enterprise database architecture, standards, and strategy for operational usage across the business. Requires advanced understanding of Object Oriented Analysis and Design, UML, web architecture, strong experience with Microsoft technologies including C#, LINQ, SQL Server, SQL Server Reporting and Integration Services, Stored Procedures, BI, Data Warehouse, database configuration, administration, security, clustering and replication, mirroring, backups, profiling, and maintenance.

Database Administrator
Design, coordinate and maintain Scentsy’s databases. Additionally implement, monitor, administer, document, and maintain database permissions, security, access, logs, performance and performance history, and create, document, and enforce policies and procedures to ensure PCI compliance, security, reliability, and
integrity of company DBs. Requires knowledge, skill, experience, and judgment when using, maintaining, and or creating MS SQL databases, as well as the ability to migrate, import, export, backup, and restore across a variety of environments.
Intern Internship positions are available for Software Developer, Database Developer, QA Developer, and QA Technician. Applicant must be a motivated self-starter who is currently pursuing a technical degree.
