Summer Intern—Physics Engine for Mobile Parallel Computing

Next Generation Web-based Physics Engine support for Mobile Platforms
To help build the next generation mobile platform, Samsung R&D in San Jose, CA is seeking Summer Interns with interest in modern browser architectures, with knowledge of parallel computing and multi-core systems, and a desire to enhance their expertise in mobile software and hardware, by helping build Physics Engine support for Web-based applications.  This Summer Internship position will be part of a research and development team, focusing on enabling parallel computing through browsers.
Qualifications
·         Holding or pursuing a degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering (B.S., M.S., or Ph.D.), or related field, with a focus on/interest in browser technologies, parallel programming principles and techniques, and multi-core acceleration.
·         Knowledge of parallel programming APIs and environments (OpenCL and/or CUDA).
·         An understanding of/interest in a browser-engine code base
·         Excellent software development skills in C/C++
·         Good analytical and general problem solving skills
·         Good communication skills and willingness to be part of a research group
Skills Required
·         OpenCL, OpenGL and/or WebGL
·         Understanding of Browser Engine
·         Knowledge of open-source Physics Engine(s)
·         JavaScript
·         Experience with/desire to work with multiple environments (x86, ARM, GPUs) & OSs (Linux, Windows)
