Software Engineers

Active Network seeks a highly motivated and skilled Software Engineer to join our growing Java Development team in Draper, UT.

In this position, you will work with a fun team of skilled developers to design and implement web-based software solutions and products for large conferences, conventions, and trade shows taking place around the world

Responsibilities

•Create, enhance, and maintain web-based software applications.
•Create code that meets design specifications, follows standards, and is easy to maintain.•Follow verbal and written instructions from System Architects and Business Analysts to meet the custom needs of our clients.•Work with the Quality Assurance Team to make sure the product is fully tested.
•Estimate development schedules and determine project scope.
•Have ownership of deliverables and produce quality work.
•As needed, travel to events to ensure custom code works as-designed during the event.

Required Skills & Experience

* Knowledge of relational database fundamentals and SQL
*Bachelors degree in Computer Science or currently working towards degree.
*Able to quickly diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex issues.
*Hard working, able to multi-task and manage time well.
* Desire to learn, take ownership, and produce quality work
*Good written and verbal communication skills.
*Desire to continually learn new skills and technologies.
* Willingness to occasionally travel 

Desired skills:

*1 to 5 years experience with Java, JSP, Servlet, SQL, JDBC, XML, Spring, Hibernate, and Struts.
