Technology Specialist/Teacher


Duties
Install and perform minor repairs to hardware, software, and peripheral equipment.
Oversee the daily performance of computer systems.
Set up equipment for teacher/staff use, performing or ensuring proper installation of cable, operating systems, and appropriate software.
Conduct computer diagnostics to investigate and resolve problems.
Analyze network data to determine network usage, disk space availability, or server function.
Configure security settings or access permissions for groups and individuals.
Configure wide area network (WAN) or local area network (LAN) routers and related equipment.
Evaluate local area network (LAN) or wide area network (WAN) performance data to ensure sufficient availability or speed, to identify network problems, or for disaster recovery purposes.
Troubleshoot network or connectivity problems for entire building.
Install and configure networking equipment and software, including security and firewall software.
Back up network data.
Develop training materials and procedures, and/or train teachers/staff in the proper use of hardware and software.
Use remote software to access computers
Order computer equipment and supplies when needed
Oversee Student Management System software: create users, import/export data, create/print reports, troubleshoot issues
Manage school email system; create users and groups, maintain accounts
Design and produce school yearbook using Lifetouch online software
Oversee computer based assessments throughout the year (i.e. Dibels Math, CRTs)
Teach the Common Core and Diocese of Salt Lake City Technology standards to K-8 grades
Teach Keyboarding skills to students grades (1-8)



Skills
Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Windows XP/Vista/7 and
Microsoft Windows Server 2003
Familiar with web-based Student Management Systems (i.e. PowerSchool, TeacherEase)
Basic knowledge of web page maintenance
Experience using SMART Boards
Excellent communication skills, written and verbal

Preferred Qualifications
Utah State Office of Education Elementary Education License
            Endorsement in Educational Technology
A+ Certification

Senior or Lead Applications Developer – Model-driven, J2EE Applications  

Remedy Informatics is seeking a Senior or Lead Software Engineer to help develop our next generation of model-driven, multi-device data analytics applications for Health Care.  This is a key role on our growing team. 

Remedy is building a powerful, model-driven application environment, enabling graphical application generation over our revolutionary data harmonization technology for Health Care.  Our data modeling and transformation technology is Ontology-driven, incorporating rich, domain-specific metadata.  Flexible and efficient data object design is central to our mission as is state-of-the-art HTML5 client application development.

Primary Responsibilities
·       Mentor/Lead a small on site team of talented, Rich Client GUI Developers
·       Drive the definition and adoption of the front-end best practices for multi-device HTML5 development
·       Develop and use modeling tools recursively to build models and renderers for data capture and analytics applications
·       Produce re-usable components as part of an iterative application development process
·       Coordinate development with remote teams

Skills and experience required
·       5+ years with Java and J2EE.
  • Solid experience with SQL and object relational modeling, data object model design for applications
  • Must be a team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills, commitment to documentation, and willingness to mentor junior developers
  • Experience with the latest JavaScript frameworks such as backbone.js and coffee
·       Experience with RESTful API design
·       Experience with Amazon S3, EC2, and EBS or similar technology desired
·       Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
·       Experience working in an agile development environment desired
·       Five years hands-on with Unit Testing methodologies and infrastructures
