The Velocity Software Engineer Training Program is designed to help new associates develop the skills and capabilities necessary to be successful Software Engineers. During training associates will gain an understanding of Cerner technologies and gain exposure to tools that will allow them to be instrumental in the development and support of Cerner's leading edge clinical and management information systems.
Cerner’s Velocity Software Engineers are responsible for fully understanding user requirements, providing input to functional design, developing applications, testing, and troubleshooting across Cerner's entire family of solutions. To accomplish their work, they use a variety of languages, including (but not limited to) Java, C#, C++, Visual C++, Visual Basic, JavaScript, .Net, HTML, SQL using Oracle.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
Proficient programming knowledge
Minimum 2.8 Cumulative GPA
Relocation to Cerner's World Headquarters in the Kansas City metropolitan area
Interest and/or experience in the healthcare industry preferred
