PART-TIME DEVELOPER JOB OPENING

Process Engineering Resources, Inc. (PERI) has an opening for a part-time developer position which could be ideal for a junior, senior or graduate student in computer science.  The development project includes working with the following technologies:

·         VB.NET or C#, Windows Forms & Windows Services

·         ASP.NET, IIS, Web Services, XML

·         Some SQL Server

Some experience with these technologies is preferred.  Qualified candidates must be an upper division major or graduate student in computer science and possess the following qualities:

·         Strong design, coding, and debugging skills

·         Strong oral and written skills, specifically the ability to document code

·         Ability to work independently

Initially, this position is part-time for a specific project with the possibility of a full-time developer position in the future. Started in 1996, PERI provides process equipment and computational modeling to mining and mineral processing industries.  PERI equipment includes on-stream X-ray fluorescence analyzers, automated grinding mill charging equipment and a laser-based mill measuring system.  Through our associations with the University of Utah, University of Wales-Swansea, and the Bureau de Recherches Géologiques et Minières (BRGM), PERI provides computational modeling and simulation of metallurgical processes.
