Silverlight Programmer, Part Time

Silverlight Programmer, Part Time
Location: Provo, Utah
Position: Part time, hourly
Department: Development
Salary:  $18-23 per hour, DOE

We hire differently! Instead of requiring specific years of experience with this or that technology, we know that good developers can succeed no matter the toolset.

If you are a great .NET/C#/Silverlight programmer, come talk to us and tell us why--we'll listen! Are you a low-level Windows/Mac guru that can do stuff with Managed code that other programmers think is impossible, or perhaps you're the person everyone turns to make a GUI beautiful and easy to use, or maybe you are an expert at scaling Web apps or Databases? If you're good at what you do, we want you to join us!

Some common threads of what we value and consider "greatness":

  • Ability to think outside the box, to find far superior ways of doing things, particularly in meeting our customers' needs, yet able to keep things simple and not over-design
  • Ability to work with a team to brainstorm, design and work together to produce world-class solutions
  • Not being afraid to tackle new or unfamiliar technologies/platforms, yet able to contribute some specialized knowledge in areas you've worked on previously
  • Solid understanding of the "basics"--multithreading and synchronization, exception handling, etc.
If you have any of these specific skill sets, they would be a plus (but aren't required):  SQL, Linq-to-SQL, Native Win32 (C++/Delphi) or Mac (Objective-C) skills

We welcome computer science students or other student programmers to apply--especially if you have been coding since you were a kid!

Come join our development team! Our Utah County company can provide some unique benefits:
  • Work on products that make a real difference in the world, somewhere you are proud to talk about where you work
  • Enjoy a small-company atmosphere without requiring 80 hours a week or wondering if the company will financially survive the coming year
  • Join a team that is fun to work with, values your unique skills, and allows you to contribute your greatness
Application Procedure:
We are less concerned with specific experience in any one area and more interested in general aptitude and understanding of good programming practices. Please send cover letter and resume to careers@imaginelearning.com.  Include the title “Silverlight Programmer” in the subject line.
