Purposes: 
The LDS Church has need of skilled individuals to assist us in moving forward in web application development.  The position calls for skilled and passionate professionals to work as quality minded .NET software engineers. 
Our teams of engineers work in a fast-paced, agile development environment developing a rich variety of inward and outward facing web applications that move the work of the Church forward throughout the world. Our software engineering positions offer the chance to work with state-of-the-practice technologies with competitive salaries and excellent benefits. Our engineers work closely with other development disciplines, including Quality Assurance, Database Engineering, Interaction Design, and Program Management. They participate actively in projects, taking part in decisions affecting project scope, design, direction, readiness, etc. They demonstrate ownership and accountability. They regularly innovate and move the work forward as a team and individually.

ICS needs software engineers who are excited to learn new technology. We need professionals who are detail-oriented and motivated to develop and use new skills. Excellent communication skills are needed. Knowledge of how to choose the best tools and patterns is a must. The ability to prioritize in an agile environment is needed.



Responsibilities: 
Ideally, we're looking for an individual with experience with the following:
  • Object-Oriented development concepts
  • C# .NET 4.0
  • ASP.NET MVC
  • Entity Framework
  • LINQ – Objects, Entity
  • Team Foundation Server 2010



Qualifications: 
  • Minimum of 1 year practical development experience in the listed technologies
  • Exposure to a broad range of current Microsoft technologies, and able to contribute meaningfully to technology and product decisions.
  • Exposure to a broad range of current messaging technologies.
  • Worked as an engineer through the first and subsequent releases of several successful products, and at least one of which must be a large-scale enterprise application
  • Proven ability to estimate the time to develop software features and then to deliver on that estimate
  • BS in CS or equivalent.
  • Strong C# skills and object oriented design experience.
  • Knowledge of session management, object relational mapping, and agile development methodologies desired.
