Data Forensics Specialist/Programmer

Caveon Test Security is looking for a highly motivated professional to join our Data Forensics team and support our fast-growing client base.

The ideal candidate must have strong statistical and analytical abilities, along with the skills to communicate results to clients through detailed reports.  Because this position interacts with other employees and customers, the candidate needs to be flexible regarding work schedule, work well in a team and on his/her own, and be able to communicate well to customers and colleagues. 

We're looking for a mature self-starter who thrives in a challenging, data rich environment where success is measured as much by the quantity, quality, and rate by which the work is completed as it is by developing creative solutions and analyses.  The candidate should be passionate about delivering measurable and defensible results, and who would appreciate working on a wide variety of projects simultaneously.


Responsibilities:
  1. Work with customers to receive data
  2. Convert data into suitable formats for data processing and analysis
  3. Verify data formatting and correctness of processed results
  4. Write scripts for processing data
  5. Launch and monitor data processing scripts
  6. Format outputs into Excel spreadsheets and other formats
  7. Document the steps and processes used to complete each project
  8. Other programming and analysis duties, as assigned

Requirements:
  1. Minimum of a Bachelors degree in a technical area or equivalent experience
  2. Ability to program in C and/or C++
  3. Ability to program in Python
  4. Working knowledge of the Windows operating system
  5. Ability to use Microsoft Excel and Word
  6. Ability to pay meticulous attention to detail and be unwilling to overlook errors
  7. Must work independently for prolonged periods of time
  8. Must maintain client and company confidences
  9. Understanding of the statistical nature of data
  10. Ability to distinguish data errors from data anomalies
  11. Ability to describe and document procedures
  12. Ability to learn and understand complex systems

Helpful skills:
  1. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively through e-mail and phone conversations
  2. Ability to program Microsoft office automation using VB or C#
  3. Mathematical skills including basic statistics, combinatorics and calculus
  4. Ability to produce presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint
  5. Ability to create statistical and technical reports

Compensation: Salary will be based on experience and qualifications.
