Interns needed for Project Vote Smart

Hello,

Project Vote Smart is hiring up to 40 interns for the summer of 2011. This year we are working on expanding a visualization program started in 2010 to make our data more interactive. Project Vote Smart's main office is located near Philipsburg, MT - we are a little under 8 hours from Salt Lake. Our biggest needs are in political research areas, but we are looking to hire 2 or 3 IT interns for the summer and have not filled any positions yet.

The 2010 version of our Vote Easy can be found here http://www.votesmart.org/voteeasy/. We also expect to continue to implement a K-12 program to bring Vote Smart into the classroom and encourage civics education. We need interns to help us update and maintain our Voter Self Defense System, which allows citizens to instantly access factual information on any candidate and discover that tolerance of today's political scene is no longer their only option.

We are seeking interns to work in our Research, Key Votes, Information Technology, and Membership divisions. Interns gain hands on political experience, while working and living in our wilderness retreat nestled high in the Montana Rockies. Our location offers numerous outdoor activities, including hiking, biking, skiing, camping, fishing, swimming, and much more.

Visit the internship page of our website - http://www.votesmart.org/program_internships.php for more information about interning at Project Vote Smart.

Please don't hesitate to contact us at intern@votesmart.org or 1-888-868-3762.

Best wishes,
