The Ruby/PHP Web Developer will be responsible for design, development, and maintenance of corporate wide technology that interacts with all of the existing websites as well as the creation of new websites and digital products. One key requirement for this position will be having experience with programming in both Ruby on Rails and PHP.

The ideal candidate needs to have experience with high traffic web sites, excellent communication skills, and is willing and excited to learn new skills and technologies. The candidate is expected to create strong collaborative working relationships with multiple business/product managers, and must show an ability to creatively interpret, implement, and iterate on business requirements.

Specific responsibilities for this position include:
• Development using the Ruby on Rails framework
• Development of enterprise PHP web applications
• Maintenance of existing enterprise web applications
• Perform code development life cycle from design, create, review, test and deployment
• Design and analysis of MySQL/PostgeSQL tables, queries, and stored procedures
• Primary responsibility is both front and back end development, applicants must have strong front end experience working with designs in Javascript, HTML and CSS implementation
• Working collaboratively with business unit leaders
• On-call 24/7 in a "highly available" environment

Required Skills
• 3 or more years of professional experience with Ruby on Rails or PHP
• BS in Computer Science or related field preferred
• Willingness to learn new and emerging technologies
• Experience developing with MVC frameworks using Ruby on Rails and PHP
• Ability to administer web deployments on Linux with Apache and Nginx
• Ability to work independently in addition to collaborative work on large projects with team members, including users, administrators, designers, and other developers
• Relational database experience using MySQL or PostgreSQL
• Experience in HTML, CSS, XML, JavaScript, AJAX
• Team player with a positive attitude who enjoys working with others
• Strategic thinker with analytical and operational skills
• Goal-oriented person with high personal drive, integrity and energy
