Java Developer

Come join a great team of team of programmers and analysts at a Fortune 500 company!  We are currently looking for a Java Developer, and are considering everything from entry-level to expert experience. This is a full-time position located in Salt Lake City, and responsible for writing database management tools. Job Description:

We are looking for a talented Java developer with aptitude in computer science skills and problem solving.  This position will work with management to understand projects and requirements, and design, develop document, test, and deploy stand-alone and Web applications in Java for new applications, and a variety of technologies for existing applications.

Responsibilities include:

· Develop stand-alone and Web-based applications for navigating, authoring, maintaining, and searching database content;

· Create applications that support databases such as Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, and other relational and non-relational databases;

· Customize and maintain Web applications for communicating with customers and tracking issues;

· Develop applications based on user input as well as self-directed research.

Required Skills/Experience:

· Bachelor degree in computer science, plus at least 1 year experience in Java programming, or equivalent combination of education and experience

· Sound, demonstrable knowledge and aptitude in computer science, algorithms, and data structures

· Demonstrable experience self-organizing and self-managing to complete projects from start to finish

· Strong, demonstrable attention to detail, analytical, self-organization, and self-management skills, plus problem solving and multi-tasking ability

· Big-picture mindset, understanding how actions and contributions impact teams

· Desire to do a good job and contribute value to the organization

· Fortitude and tenacity in solving technical and business problems

Travel:

· No travel expected.
