BoxWorks Technologies, Inc. is seeking an experienced C/Unix and J2EE programmer/analyst.

We are looking for a self-starter with a positive can-do attitude. Our ideal candidate must be comfortable working with a diverse group of people as a strong team player and must have exceptional verbal and written communication skills as well as be a versatile engineer.
Desired Qualifications:
§ 3GL programming experience in a language such as C
§ Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot under pressure
§ Basic project management experience with the ability to be self-sufficient
§ Knowledge of basic Unix Operating System Architecture.
§ Knowledge of basic Unix Operating System Commands.
§ Versed in a screen based editor, preferably VI.
§ Understanding of Web Based Programming, HTML and PHP
§ Experience with J2EE Architecture and Tools including Java, Spring, Hibernate
§ Understanding of processes, logic, and access methods surrounding an ISAM Database, preferably FairCom’s C-Tree.
§ Understanding of design and administration of a relational database with direct experience using Oracle, MySQL, Postgres or equivalent
Functional experience in one or more of the following programming areas:
§ Experience with a structured programming language such as C
§ Object-oriented design and programming using Java, C++, VB, PHP
§ SQL database design and programming
Responsibilities:
§ Work under the supervision of project leaders to understand and accomplish software project tasks
§ Participate in requirements definition, analysis and design of system solutions.
§ Write program specifications and make configuration and programming changes.
§ Carry out unit, integration, and acceptance testing.
§ Develop end user documentation and conduct training of key users.
§ Prepare and organize technical documentation for new and existing applications.
§ Report to various project managers
This position pays from $12-15/hr DOE with a flexible working schedule within an exciting, welcoming atmosphere.
