Java Web Developer


Job Summary


The primary responsibilities of this job function are to design and build a scalable framework for a web based enterprise resource program (ERP).  You will be involved in all software product development including full lifecycle from specifications, analysis, planning, development, and deployment.  Must have proficient knowledge with MySQL or equivalent, Java, JSP, JSF or equivalent Java-based web technology stacks. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Drives the architectural definition, requirements, and technical design of products.
  • Designs, develops and implements architecture infrastructure to highly complex and innovative systems.
  • Develops in conjunction with developers and designers methodologies, report views, table replications and query functions to ensure data is formatted and meets architecture plans.
  • Provides detailed design documentation including flow charting as necessary for all aspects of product development.
  • Identify and resolve technical conflicts between development, design, support, and sales.
  • Provides expertise and consultation to system designs and processes through the development cycle.
  • Helps with product deployment including debugging, documentation, and communications.
  • Has knowledge of testing systems and debugging processes.
  • Has experience working with software engineers and understanding of software languages including Java and JSP.
  • Demonstrates high level of communication principles while working within a team environment.  Includes interaction with external customers.
  • Assists developers and designers in conceptualizing new software applications and programs.
  • Implements evolving technologies within strategic business planning.  Presents discoveries or recent innovations to development teams and management.
  • Troubleshoots and provides analysis of existing applications for current and future business decisions.
  • Ensures that environments are accurately designed and architected to meet performance and reliability requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Essential Education, Work Experience and Skills

Education and Work Experience
Prefer a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university in Computer Science, Information Technology, or demonstrated work experience equivalent.

Preferred
Experience as a software architect or developer working with scalable ERP applications for the web.

Specialized Knowledge and Skills
Essential technical knowledge, skills, and abilities include, but not limited to, MySQL or equivalent, JSP, Java, and knowledge of project management resources.
