People within the Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) organization are responsible for the day-to-day provision of long-term outsourcing services to one or several clients. Typically, people in BPO are based permanently at a client location. BPO helps clients develop and deliver business process innovations with cutting-edge outsourcing services. These services transform enterprises and deliver high performance at lower costs. The Software Engineer - Product Development is responsible for analysis, design, code, and testing of multiple components of application code across one or more clients. Involved in maintenance, enhancement and/or development work of complex modules and those that interface with other applications. Has a range of skills and knowledge of the technologies used and applications supported by the Product Development Team. May be required to participate in pager/on-call support. Reports to a Product Development Team Lead/Manager.
- Apply code standards appropriately to all development assignments
- Assist in the resolution of system test and production release issues
- Work with supervisor and clients to resolve assigned trouble tickets
- Understand and adhere to software change control procedures
- Document and execute both unit and integration test plans
- Formally communicate status as required by the project manager
- Proactively raise project issues that may put the project in jeopardy
Other Requirements:
- Less than 5% travel may be required
- Overtime may be required at the end of certain product release cycles
- May be required on occasion to participate in on-call support
- May be required to participate in after hour conference calls with team members in other geographic locales
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year Microsoft .Net C# experience
- Minimum 1 year developing Microsoft .Net C# WinForm based applications
- Minimum 1 year developing Microsoft ASP.Net C# based applications
Preferred Skills:
- Great communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
- Great organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills
- Ability to be flexible and work analytically in a problem-solving environment
- Proven ability to work independently and as a team member
- Microsoft SQL Server stored procedure development experience
- Experienced in development code generation, build automation and automated unit testing
- Experienced in MVC or MVP user interface architectures
- Knowledge of enterprise level applications and multi-tiered architectures
- Ability to adhere to and contribute to development based standards and conventions
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science or Mathematic
