This position is a programming position that is responsible for developing in-house desktop solutions and web-based solutions for University Campus Store and branded web sites.

The successful candidate will be expected to develop domain specific solutions, modify existing in-house applications, perform server upgrades, security and maintenance, and perform other responsibilities as assigned.

15 to 20 hour work week with a varied work schedule to accommodate store hours which includes some Saturdays, occasional Sundays and holidays.

Requirements include a working knowledge of:

Ø  PHP 5 (Procedural and Object oriented)

Ø  MySQL 5

Ø  Actionscript 3 (AS3)

Ø  Flex 3.2+ (For older applications using MX Components)

Ø  Flex 4.5 (For newer applications using Spark Components)

Ø  HTML, CSS and JavaScript

Preferences include a working knowledge of:

Server technologies

Ø  Windows Server 2k3 & 2k8

Ø  XAMPP Server (Apache, MySQL, PHP)

Ø  Linux Server (Particularly Ubuntu)

Ø  Splunk Log Server

Client technologies

Ø  Windows XP & 7

Ø  Mac OS X

Ø  Adobe Flash Builder 3 & 4

Ø  Netbeans(w/PHP XDEBUG experience)

Other relevant technologies and concepts

Ø  Java programming

Ø  Mobile application development with HTML5, CSS3 and JQUERY

Ø  Digital Certificates

Ø  Remote Desktop

Ø  Basics of IP and networking

Ø  FTP

Ø  SSL

This position pays $12.00 per hour.

***Must be a University of Utah Student taking a min of 10 credit hours***
